The Philippine Association of Conventions/Exhibitions Organizers and Suppliers Inc. (PACEOS) recently inducted its new set of officers for the year 2015-2016. Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Ramon Jimenez Jr. led the induction ceremony held last August 13, 2015 at New World Hotel, Makati.
The new officers in position are (from left to right): Chairman for Programs, Cynthia Mamon of Enchanted Kingdom (represented by Mario Mamon); Secretary, Marisa Nallana of PETCO; VP for Conventions, Orly Ballesteros of Ex-Link Management and Marketing Services; VP for Suppliers, Adel Majaba of Danex Signs, Inc.; VP for Exhibitions, Joel Pascual of PEP Group, Inc.; President, Jing Lagandaon of Global-Link MP Events International Inc.; Chairman, Monette Hamlin of Team Asia; Chairman for Membership, Dexter Deyto of SMX Convention Center ; Treasurer, Pamela Pascual of World Trade Center; and Chairman for Research, Maria Lourdes Mediran of CITEM. In his keynote speech, Sec. Jimenez highlighted the roadmap for the Philippine MICE Industry and the importance of competing in the Asian market by “capitalizing on the strength of the Philippines, which are the creativity and intelligence of the Filipino people” and “set(ting) new standards and higher expectations for Events that have real results.” The MICE industry has to look ahead to the future and focus not on the facilities or infrastructure but the measurement of the quality of engagement and significance of the results. He believes that such objectives and developments will create a world brand that states “In the Philippines, all meetings are successful!”
